Welcome to Jennifer J. Writes
The Mission: To create a strategy of sustainability, develop a plan to create change, and expand your organization with the funding you need to impact your community.
The Why: The world needs organizations like you more than ever before. As your teammate, there is nothing more exciting than listening and learning about your cause. Your passion becomes our passion.
Jennifer Jenkinson is a certified grant writer & consultant who is passionate about strategy, planning, and crafting a compelling narrative to tell an organization’s story and get them funded.
She has experience & success writing government, humanitarian, arts, education, research & development, and community initiative grants. She attributes her high success rate to her due diligence and funder outreach to select the right grants to apply for, strategic planning, & communication skills.
She holds a bachelor’s degree in Economics & Finance from the University of Texas at Dallas as well as numerous professional certifications. After twenty years in finance working with foundations, she retired to pursue her love of writing through ghost writing. Listening, learning, & telling someone’s story in a compelling way led her to grant writing where her love of finance and planning paired perfectly with writing articulately to convey an organization’s funding needs.
She is married, a new empty nester, an avid golfer, and a voracious reader. Her writing buddies include a giant rescue dog named Zoey and two house rabbits, Leo & Lola.
I met Jennifer when I was just starting out. Her support, guidance, and work gave me the confidence to take my business to the next level. If you are a female-owned business, working with Jennifer is a must.
